Thanks to funding through the BOOST (Building Opportunities Out-of-School Time) administered by Georgia Statewide Network (GSAN) in partnership with the Department of Education, and other sponsors such as United Way of Greater Atlanta, and Ecolab Foundation, Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company is expanding the way we turn everyday places into public learning classrooms through a state-of-the-art Mobile Academic Classroom on Wheels!

With your help we will mobilize access to innovative hands-on literacy, STEM, career readiness skills for more than 3500 Georgians by 2023 zip code by zip code in a neighborhood near you!

About the project:

Our Everyday Places Mobile Academic Classroom on Wheels is a retrofitted Ford E450 Shuttle bus that will be transformed into an innovative state-of-the-art mobile schoolhouse, complete with classroom space, mobile library, Bluetooth technology, sensory learning for autistic students, wheelchair lift, and computerized learning via mobile hotspots & tablets.

Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company transforms communities by connecting people with resources to drive sustainable change in their family and beyond. Through strategic relationships, we envision a world where children are safe, have stable connections to their family and community, and grow up to be healthy, educated, and employable.

Our unique programming and curriculum design turn everyday spaces and easy-to-access places into innovative learning landscapes and public learning classrooms. In response to the growing need for additional seat time and equitable learning environments, we are amplifying this work through our new state-of-the-art mobile academic classroom & shuttle bus!

Our project-based programs provide an innovative approach to learning by providing students with access to Literacy, Essential Life Skills, and STEAM-based experiences in communities where they don’t currently exist.

Whether it be through one of our Everyday Places Pop Up Workshops, Partner In Education [PIE] engagement programs, teacher consulting services or one of our new initiatives, we provide students, parents, teachers and the wider community with access education however it works best for them.
